For aspiring photographers, make sure that you get the camera that can meet your photography needs. Don’t purchase a camera just because you liked its appearance or if it is similar to a friends camera. There are several things that you should know when picking the right camera. When you’re into landscape photography, you should know the ins and outs; that way, you can take great photos.

Digital cameras don’t use films and instead, you must choose a camera that has a CCD or Charged Coupled Device. This is a chip wherein digital data is converted to store the images on the memory.

Resolution and mega pixels are also great considerations. A digital image is made up of dots called pixels while resolution measures the pixels used in an images digital copy. The price of digital cameras is usually based on the features including the mega pixels. You must first determine your needs as a photographer. Today, you can rarely find PDAs, cell phones, and web cameras that have only a mega pixel (1 million pixels). The lowest so far is the 1.1-2 mega pixels camera.
